Item type:Publication, La hospitalidad se inicia en el hogar (La hospitalidad y planeación de eventos)(Hospitalidad ESDAI, 2002) ;Pasquel de Oviedo, María OfeliaCampus Ciudad de MéxicoThis article proposes the idea that hospitality is learnt and begins in the home in which the person is and it is appreciated as such. From the social nature of the person it immediately follows that hospitality is given. If we take the etymological origin "hospitalitas atis" signifying, virtue which is given to the pilgrims, those in need and the destitute collecting them and paying attention to their needs, it is observed that there remains one aspect which is not essential. The hospitality, which arises, goes beyond welcoming the destitute and stranger. It starts by welcoming first the closest members of the family, living hospitality through the small daily details that collectively form a routine of love, and of teaching. In this manner each in its way can be transferred to other situations, such as school, work, friends and many more, recovering the essence of service in all the fields in which man develops. In this article a guide is proposed based in planning which consists of eight key questions to carry out an event. Parties and special events in which people gather represent a good opportunity to transmit hospitality. But it is not enough to want to serve, one has to know how to serve. It is thus how the application of the administrative process arises, it is a very useful tool to make sure that the service given is efficient. To arrive at hospitality, warm, simple and natural returning to the concept of home, gives man the value he has, for what he is and not for what he has.18 208
