Item type:Publication, Gnosis and Pistis in Tillich’s and Kierkegaard’s Philosophical Theology(Zalozba Nova Revija, 2025)In making this declaration, Tillich risks approaching the stylistics of traditional metaphysics, a position that few theologians or philosophers have held since Hegel (with the exception of the neo-Thomists). [...]by equating thought with systematicity, Tillich argued that both philosophy and theology must appear in a system, and he himself became one of those rare philosophers of religion who, in the post-Hegelian era, constructed a system of philosophical theology, in which the answers to fundamental existential questions were presented in the form of traditional Christian symbols. Inspired by these ideas, Tillich distinguishes Christianity from its "foundation" Like Hegel, he believes that "the tendencies inherent in other cultures and religions anticipate and are fulfilled in the Christian response" (Tillich 1951, 15). [...]in Christianity the "religious principle" or the "idea of universal theology" is most successfully manifested. The only distinctiveness that elevates Christianity above other religions is the superiority of its foundation (the Christological event). [...]paradoxically, no particular religion (not even Christianity) can be fundamental in the absolute sense, although if any religion can supplant Christianity, it is only a more perfect form of Christianity itself. [...]there is one thing that Tillich certainly does not mean when he speaks of Christianity: its unparalleled authority, that is, the unconditional acceptance of knowledge. [...]Tillich is not inclined to quickly accept the postulates of faith, but rather to analyze the conclusions of knowledge first. ©The autor © Phainomena © Zalozba Nova Revija. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The Most Relevant Factors in the Gender Gap in European Countries(Academic Conferences International Ltd, 2025); ; Gender equality is essential for the sustainable development of all countries. It brings economic growth, improved education and health for the entire population, poverty reduction, and social and political stability as democracy is strengthened and more peaceful communities are generated. However, its study is complex and includes various dimensions. This research aims to analyze the most relevant factors of the gender gap in European countries. The methodological strategy is based on machine learning techniques applied to the Gender Equality Index, which includes the EU27 countries and was developed by EIGE. These machine-learning techniques are methods computers use to learn from data and make predictions without being explicitly programmed. This index has 31 relevant indicators that are grouped into 14 subdimensions, which are, in turn, divided into six dimensions. The relevant dimensions in the study of gender equality are I. work (5 indicators), II. Money (4 indicators), III. Knowledge (3 indicators), IV. Time (4 indicators), V. power (8 indicators), and VI. Health (7 indicators). The results show a women's gap. Three of the most relevant dimensions from this research inhibit gender equity: I. Power in its three economic, political, and social dimensions; II. Knowledge in its two dimensions of attainment, participation, and segregation, and III. Time in its dimension of social activities. Women's most significant factors for the gender gap are power, knowledge, and time. ©The authors ©International Conference on Gender Research. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, University social responsibility (USR) and Its mission: the case of the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico(2020); Torres-Vargas, ArturoAt present, Higher Education Institutions around the world are developing and implementing university social responsibility(USR) as part of their strategy. They do so because they seek to assure the quality of higher education systems, as well as to positively impact their surrounding environment. This chapter aims to analyze the university’s role in the process of building social responsibility in line with efforts to adequately fulfill its three missions of teaching, research, and linking with society. The case study herein refers to the Universidad Panamericana (UP), a private university in Mexico with humanistic and Christian roots, which recently celebrated its 50th year. The analysis demonstrates the UP’s significant efforts to build a social responsibility system and its achievement of significant social impact through programs that support the community, healthcare, and people with disabilities. However, management of USR should be done at an institutional level and across the board. © 2020 Emerald Publishing Limited.Scopus© Citations 4 14 1
