The satisfaction of this exigency depends on the effort of hospitals to render more and better services. In order to overcome this challenge, the givers of health services must excel and distinguish themselves in the quality of the functions they deliver. If quality administration in health attention outcomes in the satisfaction of patients' expectations, the giver of these services has fulfilled his mission. The ambiguity of the "medical attention" concept, makes that Quality herein be perceived and defined in diverse ways. The objective of this writing is to show the common structure that each quality definition has and to present a model considering the variables for its integral assessment.4 142
