Abstract
This research analyzes the discourse of social actors at COP21: indigenous people, religious organizations, women, and youth. Their message addressed issues omitted by politicians, such as human rights, threats to food security, or the temperature target of 1.5°C. The analysis makes use of press conferences and applies qualitative methodology and framing theory to answer: What problems should be addressed? What solutions do proposals offer? How do they assess the situation? Do they have some points of agreement? The results reveal a shared emphasis on solutions by local actors and civil society, and a convergence between the message of indigenous groups and women. Future researches could continue analyzing this discourse and compare it with the political one. ©2018 Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
