    Ernst Cassirer: una fenomenología del autoconocimiento en el marco de la tensión vivencial y espiritual
    (2019)
    This paper considers the self-knowledge construction process proposed by Ernst Cassirer. The aim is to identify the tension between life and mind as the basic antithesis and their symbolic mediations (myth, language and science) as cultural resources which allow construction of a self-knowledge concept. Through a critical review of Philosophie der symbolischen Formen and An Essay on Man it will be established that, i) self-knowledge is a triadic project that integrates each previous phase, ii) which requires a functional research of the work and of human culture to iii) maintain a tension that distinguishes but without separating the agent as a living being and his self-awareness as a spiritual product.

    Philosophical foundations for a pedagogy of culture
    (2024)
The general objective of this paper is to elaborate a pedagogical reading of Ernst Cassirer’sPhilosophy of Symbolic Forms, focusing on the Phenomenology of Knowledge where the author detailsthat the foundations adduced by Paul Natorp, in Introduction to Psychology constitute a critical viewof psychology as the foundation of intellectual operations. In general, there are three results to beshown: first, it will be shown that this recovery of the Natorpian vision allows Cassirer to maintainthat all cultural activity (language, mythology, art, science, etc.) has as its foundation the psychologicalactivities of the subject, which implies that all symbolic formation is both an intellectual product ofthe individual and a cultural activity. Second, it will be shown that part of the development of acritical psychology, in accordance with Natorp’s general plan, is the need for a theory of formationthat explains how the cultural environment shapes the intellectual activities of the subject, a generalthesis assumed by Cassirer for the development of his theory of the symbol. Finally, it will be notedthat the cultural formative agents considered by Natorp for the formation of the individual (state,art and religion, mainly) constitute the theoretical bases of culture on which the student will laterdevelop his theory of language, myth/religion, art and science as cultural formations.

    La calidad de la educación en territorios rurales desde las políticas públicas
    (2022)
    ;
    The objective of this article is to deepen the concept of educational quality in the reality ofthe Mexican Educational System. As a problem, it assumes the asymmetry of results and realitiesexperienced in the rural and urban context to question whether there is a common criterion on‘educational quality’. The concept of educational quality is explored in the face of the federal normsthat protect the right to education. On the other hand, it explains the conceptual change that hasoccurred in the conception of rurality, becoming increasingly diverse. A specific section describesthe Community School Model, which educationally serves dispersed and underpopulatedcommunities in Mexico. Methodologically, a hermeneutic reflection of three sources is proposed:the concept of education, the wording of Article 3 of the Mexican Constitution with its variouschanges and description of the rural educational environment in that period, and the MultigradeSchools promoted by CONAFE as the system that reaches those territories. It is concluded thateducational quality is delimited by the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States and theconditions in which it is developed, the above framed by the following factors: (i) the dignificationof the person, (ii) the legal terms described in Art. 3, (iii) contextualized in the geographical realityof the student.

    Las estructuras místicas del imaginario en una novela de ciencia ficción mexicana contemporánea: Gel azul, de Bernardo Fernández (Bef)
    (2022)
    Pérez Amezcua, Luis Alberto
    ;
    Se estudian las implicaciones de la instauración de un simbólica tecnocientífica de la intimidad en la novela de ciencia ficción mexicana Gel azul (2006), de Bernardo Fernández (Bef). La orientación del análisis es estructuralista-figurativa y se enfoca en la configuración de las estructuras místicas del imaginario a través de la identificación e interpretación de dicha simbólica, por ser esta la determinante imaginaria fundamental. Nos concentramos en las categorías —interrelacionadas— de espacio, sujeto-cuerpo y tecnología en esta manifestación del régimen nocturno de la imagen y se concluye con una interpretación sobre su sentido en el contexto cultural actual.

    La invasión silenciosa de la tecnología inteligente. Una relectura de “Los caballos de Abdera” de L. Lugones
    (2020)
    ;
    In this paper, the epistemological boundaries between myth and science fiction are elucidated within the story “Los caballos de Abdera” (Las fuerzas extrañas). It is shown that even though the narrative treatment proposed by the Argentine author is not science fiction, it offers a model of the naturalization of fantastic events. In the first part we discuss the hermeneutical keys of this Lugonian reading, underscoring the flexibility of myth to adapt itself to the narrative paradigms of different ages. Using this plasticity of the mythical form, in the second part we analyze the process of familiarization through which the excessive use of technology in our daily lives has become normal. The purpose of this is to outline one of the recurring themes in science fiction: the invasion of alien beings.

    Individuo y comunidad en el pensamiento mítico
    (Universidad Panamericana. Facultad de Filosofía, 2022)
    ;
    En este artículo establecemos que en el pensamiento mítico existe, como cualidad natural, una expresión de universalidad. Siguiendo la Filosofía de las formas simbólicas de Cassirer, mostraremos que a través de la función expresiva del mito es posible desarrollar un pensamiento expresivo o un modo prelógico de conocer. Se propone después una interpretación de Edipo en Colono para mostrar que (i) esta obra ofrece un recurso plausible para relacionar al individuo y la comunidad, y que (ii) el entramado opera como un complejo camino sígnico y simbólico para delinear una forma de relación expresiva en donde es posible la unificación del individuo con la comunidad.
