    Los fines de la universidad
    (Universidad Panamericana, Escuela de Pedagogía, 2018-11-28)
    Bermudez-Aponte, Jose Javier
    ;
    Universidad Panamericana. Campus Ciudad de México. Escuela de Pedagogía
    This article is based on the reflection on the place of superior knowledge in the University, which connects with the proper meaning of this social institution, which is the search for truth. The superior knowledge, linked to the deep knowledge of the reality, its search, conservation and diffusion, are own and almost exclusive tasks of the universities. They are the ones who, with their different activities and discoveries, advance our knowledge of things and of man. The article ends by emphasizing the importance of returning to the aims of the university. As well, the article pretends to offer a complete view of its essential features through a teleological approach to education, the unitary character that must be present in people, and the study of tradition as an accumulation of erudition and culture

    De las industrias culturales a la economía política de la industria cinematográfica
    (Universidad Panamericana, Escuela de Comunicación, 2022)
    Dávalos Orozco, Federico

    It is proposed a reflection on the concept of culture in the field of social sciences, which allows us to understand the relevance of cultural industries in the production and reproduction of symbolic systems in contemporary societies. Understanding the meaning of the concept of culture allows us to understand the pre-eminence that the usual production of the mass media has in the formation and socialization of individuals in contemporary societies.It is the socio-historical conditioning factors and the economic and industrial nature of the various cul-tural industries that allow us both to fruitfully relate the mass media to each other and to other forms of mass entertainment, and to establish the specificities of each one. All of them are characterized by the industrial and standardized production of messages; they are cultural industries. Following some clues provided by Albert Breton, Augustin Girard, Armand Matellart and Enrique Busta-mante, we will try to understand how cultural industries work and how they are organized; and what are the dif-ferent modes of production of cultural goods.We will explain the organization and functioning of cultural industries and their various facets: socio-politi-cal, cultural and economic. From the last facet, we will ap-proach the study of the three sectors of the film industry -production, distribution and exhibition-, the specific way in which filmmaking is organized. In the end, all these elements will allow us to propose a model for the study of the production, distribution and exhibition systems in the Mexican film industry.

    Las raíces románticas de la escuela histórica del derecho (una aproximación a las ideas del racionalismo jurídico y del empirismo jurídico)
    (Universidad Panamericana. Facultad de Derecho, 2016)
    San Vicente Parada, Aida Del Carmen

    La Escuela Histórica de Derecho fue fuertemente influida por el Romanticismo, movimiento intelectual que sostenía que la Historia, como una serie de acciones sucesivas que culminan en épocas subjetivas u objetivas, es producto de la acción del espíritu en el constante devenir de orden y caos. En este artículo se pretende detallar de qué manera estos postulados cobran vida en la concepción del Derecho como un fenómeno más de la cultura y de la Historia. Para comprender el ambiente intelectual que alimento a estas corrientes de pensamiento se analizará brevemente a la Modernidad.
