    Metáfora y analogía en Aristóteles : su distinción y uso en la ciencia y la filosofía

    El uso y límites de la analogía y la metáfora en la ciencia aristotélica pueden ser confusos. En algunos pasajes, Aristóteles usa ambos elementos en las explicaciones y defiende su claridad. Sin embargo, en otros textos la metáfora es excluida de la ciencia. En este artículo, analizaré las diferencias entre metáfora y analogía y examinaré en qué contexto se pude utilizar la metáfora. Mi tesis es que Aristóteles usa la analogía como una estrategia argumentativa captada por epagogé. En el caso de las metáforas, éstas deben ser excluidas de la ciencia, aunque son una estrategia válida para cierto tipo de discursos y como elementos pedagógicos en las explicaciones.

    El tiempo y su analogía con la noción de espacio en la filosofía de G. W. Leibniz

    Leibniz, as many of his contemporaries, establishes some conceptual connections between the notion of space and the notion of time. Since the concept of time is much less explored by Leibniz than the concept of space, this analogy could offer some clues to understand the first. However, it is important to analyse the limits of this analogy and the properties that can be inferred between the two notions, since there is no strict parallelism among them. The aim of this paper is to identify some essential elements of the Leibnizian concept of time in connection with his theory of space. First, I shall determine which extrapolations are valid between these two terms. Then, I shall provide a clear notion of time, as well as some possible contradictions within the Leibnizian system in this regard. Finally, some possible ways of solutions to these inconsistencies will be offered. ©2017, Pensamiento, Universidad Pontificia Comillas de Madrid.
