    Metafísica de la violencia y de la paz. Análisis agustiniano de una definición de Paul Gilbert

    En este trabajo intentaré trazar los lineamientos básicos de una metafísica de la violencia y de la paz en Paul Gilbert y Agustín de Hipona. Para ello, explicitaré los postulados agustinianos sobre los que descansa una definición Gilbert da de la violencia en su libro La paciencia de ser. La definición de Gilbert se pondrá a prueba en tres pasos. En primer lugar, exploraré lo que implica hablar de la violencia en metafísica concebida ésta como una «filosofía primera». En segundo lugar, recuperaré la fenomenología que Agustín de Hipona elabora principalmente en De libero arbitrio. En tercer lugar analizaré la libertad política y su sustitución a través de la noción de «legalidad». De este modo, la violencia quedará caracterizada como la renuncia a lo propiamente político, como la afirmación unilateral de la libertad individual y, por lo tanto, la negación de esa misma libertad.

    Desobediencia civil la autoridad de la reflexión vs la autoridad civil

    ¿Is civil disobedience morally justified? Throughout this paper I try to offer an affirmative answer to this question. In order to explain why civil disobedience is morally justified, I first describe some of the essential features of civil disobedience. Then I explain that the tension between civil and individual powers –which is often considered as the trigger of civil disobedience– is only in appearance. Some passages of Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals are essential for this task. Once the tension is proved to be unimportant, there is room for stating that the social and individual sources of normativity have to complement each other if civil disobedience is to be justified. As paradoxical as it may sound: Civil disobedience can only be morally justified if obedience and law are reinforced. ©Universidad Complutense de Madrid

    Invasive and swift technological changes in every order of social and economic life, and the use of such changes to increase work efficiency in companies has praised spoken and written language as the outstanding tool allowing enterprises to fulfill their institutional objectives. Attention to this irreplaceable resource, human communication, has to do with the boom of constructivism oriented education. This has a foundation student's autonomy, upon the basis of what student knows and is able to develop. Verbal language is a premise to knowledge construction. Universities have echoed this trend and currently their curricula allow for those academic subjects promoting the exertion of reflection and expression.
