    La política de competencia, una aproximación conceptual.
    (Hospitalidad ESDAI, 2009)
    Herrera Ordoñez, Alberto
    ;
    Campus Ciudad de México
    The economic integration of Latin America and the Caribbean has forced governments to develop and establish public policies which should contribute to generate, on one hand, a social, political and economic certainty required by international markets to consider a country as «viable» for investments and market developments; and, on the other hand, to establish market conditions which guarantee the supply demanded by the population. In this context, one of the policies which may contribute to create the best conditions for economic development in the countries of the region is «Competition Policy», most of all because of its contribution towards creating a favorable environment to enable economic agents to develop free competition with clear rules. These rules, as will be presented in this article, are necessary to promote economic and commercial activities. This document intends to serve as a conceptual and theoretical reference framework for study and research on Competition Policy. It was elaborated upon the revision of a very extensive and exhaustive bibliography in reference to Competition Policy within the topics dealt with by the public economic sector and economic regulation.

    For almost all people, the word "audit" has not had a good reputation. But, things have changed. In the new economy, management requires fast and soundly based decisions. In the restaurant environment, for example, it is very important to develop an auditing tool that provides information not only from the financial or operational perspective, but also from the customers' point of view. This information will permit the organisation to improve their process and to reinvent itself with innovative and attractive services and products to face the challenge represented by competition.

    ¿Es lo "económico" lo mismo que lo "mercantil"? : comentario sobre la definición de "agente económico" de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación
    (Universidad Panamericana. Facultad de Derecho, 2005)
    El concepto de “agente económico” para efectos de la Ley Federal de Competencia Económica (LFCE) ha dado mucho de qué hablar. En fechas recientes la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación emitió una sentencia que deslinda el alcance de dicho concepto. El propósito de este estudio es comentar sobre la rectitud legal y económica de dicha decisión. Para ello, se procederá a mencionar el contenido y antecedentes de la sentencia, para luego comentar sobre la correcta definición económica y legal del concepto de agente económico, haciendo alusión a otros precedentes judiciales, y finalizando con una conclusión.
