    Thematic mapping of artificial intelligence in management: A bibliometric approach using co-word analysis (2015–2024)
    (Pro-Metrics, 2025)
    Salgado-García, Jorge Arturo
    ;
    ;
    Objective: The objective of this study was twofold: first, to map the main themes in the literature on artificial intelligence in management, and second, to explore the relationships between these themes. Design/Methodology/Approach: A co-word analysis was performed on 15,835 articles indexed in Scopus (2015–2024), with the author’s keywords in the field of administration constituting the unit of analysis. The semantic network under consideration was constructed using the 50 most frequent terms, applying normalization by association and the Walktrap algorithm for cluster detection. Results/Discussion: The results of the analysis indicated that the extant literature was organized around three thematic groups. The first of these focused on conversational interfaces, the second on digital transformation, and the third adopted a computational approach. The thematic structure identified reflected a field in the process of consolidation, with a predominance of technical approaches and limited functional specialization. Conclusion: Contemporary research endeavors prioritized methodological development over strategic implementation in particular organizational contexts. These findings underscored the necessity for more comprehensive approaches that articulated technology, management, and governance. Moreover, they called for a future agenda that was oriented toward its adoption from sociotechnical perspectives. ©The authors ©Iberoamerican Journal of Science Measurement and Communication (Revista Iberoamericana de Medición y Comunicación de la Ciencia) ©Pro Metrics.

    ;
    En la presente investigación se realiza la evaluación del proyecto de inversión en investigación y desarrollo para la innovación y de gran impacto en la industria farmacéutica. La evaluación del proyecto se realiza a través de opciones reales de tipo americano, basada en árboles binomiales que incorporan la volatilidad sobre los flujos de efectivo esperados para determinar el beneficio de posponer un proyecto a tres años, brindando flexibilidad a los inversionistas en su toma de decisiones. Además, en la valoración de la opción real asociada al proyecto, la teoría de conjuntos difusos se incorpora en el proceso de asignación de posibilidades en los árboles binomiales. El valor de la opción real de tipo americano para posponer el proyecto oscila entre el 24,83% y el 51,22% de la inversión, y el valor de la opción real, utilizando la lógica difusa entre 9.91% y 23.13% de la inversión en un escenario pesimista, y del 10,04% y 39,08% de la inversión en un escenario optimista, y para un escenario de expertos la prima de la opción se encuentran entre: 10,00% y 26,91% de la inversión, estos son mejores resultados. ©2019, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Facultad de Contaduría y Administración.

Ancestral knowledge is essential in the construction of learning to preserve the sense of relevance, transmit and share knowledge according to its cultural context, and maintain a harmonious relationship with nature and sustainability. The objective of this research is to study and analyze the management of ancestral knowledge in the production of the Raicilla to provide elements to rural communities, producers, and facilitators in decision-making to be able to innovate and be more productive, competitive, sustainable, and improve people’s quality of life. The methodological strategy was carried out through Bayesian networks and Fuzzy Logic. To this end, a model was developed to identify and quantify the critical factors that impact optimally managed technology to generate value that translates into innovation and competitive advantages. The evidence shows that the optimal and non-optimal management of knowledge, technology, and innovation management and its factors, through the causality of the variables, permits us to capture the interrelationship more adequately and manage them. The results show that the most relevant factors for adequate management of ancestral knowledge in the Raicilla sector are facilitators, denomination of origin, extraction and fermentation, and government. The proposed model will support these small producers and help them preserve their identity, culture, and customs, contributing greatly to environmental sustainability.

    Crédito hipotecario: un modelo predictivo de discriminación de riesgo
    (2023)
    González-Rossano, Carlos
    ;
    ;
    Diversos estudios demuestran la relación entre el acceso a la vivienda y la superación de la pobreza. Sin embargo, existe un rezago en el acceso a la vivienda digna en México y la falta de historial crediticio es una limitante para el acceso a créditos bancarios. El objetivo de la presente investigación es analizar los criterios de selección de crédito hipotecario y proponer un modelo de gestión de riesgos que permita a la banca financiar a un mayor número de personas en la adquisición o mejora de su vivienda. La estrategia metodológica se basa en técnicas de aprendizaje automático apoyadas en la ciencia de datos para crear un modelo predictivo del cumplimiento del crédito basado en características individuales. Los resultados muestran un modelo predictivo de discriminación de riesgo con una confiabilidad del 85% para créditos a la vivienda, lo cual permite ampliar la base potencial de personas susceptibles de acceder a financiamiento hipotecario. El derecho a una vivienda digna presenta un rezago importante en el país y hasta ahora los bancos al proponer un modelo predictivo de selección de riesgo hipotecario se da respuesta a la pregunta de investigación que refiere a las acciones que puede ejecutar la banca para resolver el problema de falta de acceso a vivienda digna. Los bancos pueden establecer sus criterios de selección de riesgo apoyados en la ciencia y analítica de datos y la aplicación de modelos predictivos de aprendizaje automático utilizando su amplia base de datos histórica.© Revista Venezolana de Gerencia

    Balancing Work, Family, and Personal Life in the Mexican Context: The Future of Work for the “COVID-19 Generation”
    (2021)
    ;
    ;
    Intergenerational talent management—i.e., attracting and retaining employees across generations and with different motivations—is one of companies’ greatest challenges. The expectations that recent generations bring with them have pushed culture in the direction of work-family balance, which is now seen as a key tool for human resources departments in charge of creating support mechanisms to attract and retain the next generation of workers. This trend has been reinforced by the changes brought about in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Responding to this shift, and inspired by the challenges that our “new normal” posits, this chapter presents research results from a survey conducted in Mexico with respondents from generations Y and Z. The survey results offer important insight into how these generations perceive work-life balance, as well as the expectations that young Mexicans between the ages of 18 and 30 hold in terms of family and work.

    Business Model Innovation and Decision-Making for the Productive Sector in Times of Crisis
    (2022)
    ;
    The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has affected all companies and their business models. For this reason, firms have needed to redesign these models, focusing on customer value proposition. The purpose of this research is to analyze Business Model Innovation (BMI) for decision-making. The methodological strategy is carried out through Bayesian networks. A model is made in which the main elements that make up a BMI are identified and quantified, which impact better decision-making to properly manage the proposal value for customers, technology, and achieve innovation. Evidence shows that the construction of BMI requires a model that mainly considers the relationships between variables such as knowledge architecture, implementation operation, change and evolution, and agile response. BMI will apply to organizations to the extent that it contemplates variables related to customer service and attention, as well as those related to innovation in organizations, attention, and those related to innovation in organizations. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
