Abstract
The use of new technologies in the health-care sector has increased considerably in recent years, especially in terms of developing the potential benefits of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality AR), and Diminished Reality (DR). These technologies allow for the diffusion of information and specified knowledge to aid in making critical and complex decisions. This chapter explores the adoption and absorption of VR, AR, and DR in the health-care field. It analyzes the evolution, the advantages and disadvantages, as well as providing perspectives on the future growth and impact of these innovations.
