Abstract
Human growth is an inescapable imperative that necessitates education for its intentional development. This growth, understood as the holistic development of all human capacities, constitutes, in essence, the objective of character education and the cultivation of human virtues across the lifespan. This special issue presents cross-cultural research on virtuous character formation for human flourishing, highlighting the imperative for studies in non-Western contexts and the pivotal role of education, innovation, and educational leadership in this process.
