Abstract
We have all dreamt sometimes about having a house like George Jetson's, the main character of the cartoon series The Jetsons, full of peculiar gadgets and all kinds of comforts, including a Robotina, a robot housekeeper who is part of the family, all of this located in a very technologically advanced world. This is nowadays possible; it is common to listen to people walking by on the street saying that they could not respond to their electronic mail because the network failed, that they had problems synchronizing their PDA, that they left their dishwasher and microwave oven programmed and will not have to worry anymore about some domestic tasks; all this thanks to the use of technology which provides us with many benefits that may differ according to the needs of the user or inhabitant of a building and/or demotic house, whichever the case. In other words, if the building is commercial, the small companies located therein have the opportunity of acceding to the common services which, due to the high cost, they could not do individually, but as tenants they have an ample range of choice. In any case, the user does not have to worry about the aspects related to infrastructure, upkeep, or the other services offered to the tenants of the building; they only have to think about their business and their profit, leaving to the administrator the task of selling these services to the users of the building and supplying a product that is essential for some clients and a benefit for all. This is what makes the difference compared to other buildings and increases the benefits of the investment. All this is achieved by planning, programming and developing certain preventive and corrective routines, aimed at obtaining a suitable operation.
