Abstract
Dear university community, It is with profound pride that we present this Scientific Production Report 2023. True to our pathway in previous years, it is a source of great satisfaction to report that we have not only maintained, but also intensified our commitment to the generation of high-quality knowledge with a significant social impact. We would like to highlight that 55% of our scientific production this year was indexed in high quality journals (Q1 and Q2) in Scopus and Web of Science indexes, consolidating our position as an outstanding reference in this sphere. In addition, and for the fifth consecutive year, we continue to be the second private university with the highest production in the aforementioned indexes. These figures attest to the hard work and dedication of our researchers. Likewise, we have made significant progress in the area of Intellectual Property, obtaining four new patents. This achievement underscores our university’s strong commitment to innovation and technological advancement. Consistent with our strategy to strengthen research, we have scaled up our efforts to encourage our professors to participate in the search for external funding through research projects both nationally and internationally. Recognizing the materiality of promoting an internal cultural change in this respect, we have established specialized training programs. These programs are designed to provide our researchers with the key tools and competencies in the field. We are convinced that these actions will have a substantial positive impact on our ability to conduct state-of-the-art research and provide innovative solutions to the challenges faced by our society. © Universidad Panamericana.
