Abstract
This very brief paper aims to recover and annotate alost Latin epigram for Extre-maduran literary criticism, because in the very few extant references it has only been considered as an inscription carved on the lintel of a door without realizing that it is formed by couplets. Although there is no information about its composition (its author and its year of writing and collocation inside the building), considering the context of the Reconquest of Cáceres led by Alfonso IXof León and, much later, the restoration of the property carried out by a member of House of Ulloa, it is perhaps possible to link the literary motifs of the short poem with a couple of Virgilian verses ©The autor © Universidad de Extremadura.
