Abstract
Courses are normally divided in small packages with very strict boundaries. However, in real life knowledge is not divided, but integrated as a whole. An interdisciplinary assessment integrating three courses - Production Planning, Simulation and Facilities Planning - is designed to apply the acquired competencies in companies. To facilitate the work of the students a new methodology based on four stages is used: Diagnostic, Selection of the Topics, Development of the Work and Final Presentation. During the different stages students are guided by the Faculty. Finally, the results are shown indicating the consequences of their research in a real life environment.
