    The fundamental objective of this article is to diagnose the educational quality that the university professor of the Education degree demonstrates in his praxis, at the Israel Technological University (UISRAEL), located in the city of Quito. He relied on the theoretical references of Kant (1985), Aristotle (1985), Touriñan (2019), Freire (1985) (1971) (1997) and Valleys (2021), among others. It is a mixed or complementary study; from the quantitative point of view, it is descriptive and projective. It presents a transectional- field design, the survey was used as a technique and the questionnaire as an instrument, analyzing the indicators: clarity, dynamics of the subject, perception of learning, professional and technological training and research. From the qualitative perspective, observation was used as a technique and the Observation Guide as an instrument. The population consisted of 126 students of the Education career, which were taken entirely. It was possible to detect, from the quantitative perspective, that the quality of the teacher of the Education career is within an “acceptable” level of quality. From the qualitative point of view, although the majority demonstrate a high level of quality, there is a minority of teachers who demonstrate insufficiencies in their educational praxis, such as: communication with their students, content updating regarding the graduate profile, expository strategies without intentionality to encourage critical thinking in students and lack of motivation to their students. A teacher update program is recommended.

    El objetivo principal de este ensayo es analizar lo que se entiende por calidad de educación, desde los diferentes niveles de organización educativa, en el contexto de la sociedad del conocimiento. La hipótesis que se quiere desarrollar es la siguiente: una educación de calidad es aquella que responde a las necesidades de cada región, dadas por sus características culturales, políticas, geográficas, demográficas, económicas, etcétera, y al mismo tiempo atiende a las necesidades del mundo global en que se desenvuelve. La educación, para ser considerada de calidad, debe responder a las características del tiempo y lugar en que se ubica, de tal modo que promueva el desarrollo individual y común.

    La calidad de la educación en territorios rurales desde las políticas públicas
    (2022)
    ;
    The objective of this article is to deepen the concept of educational quality in the reality ofthe Mexican Educational System. As a problem, it assumes the asymmetry of results and realitiesexperienced in the rural and urban context to question whether there is a common criterion on‘educational quality’. The concept of educational quality is explored in the face of the federal normsthat protect the right to education. On the other hand, it explains the conceptual change that hasoccurred in the conception of rurality, becoming increasingly diverse. A specific section describesthe Community School Model, which educationally serves dispersed and underpopulatedcommunities in Mexico. Methodologically, a hermeneutic reflection of three sources is proposed:the concept of education, the wording of Article 3 of the Mexican Constitution with its variouschanges and description of the rural educational environment in that period, and the MultigradeSchools promoted by CONAFE as the system that reaches those territories. It is concluded thateducational quality is delimited by the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States and theconditions in which it is developed, the above framed by the following factors: (i) the dignificationof the person, (ii) the legal terms described in Art. 3, (iii) contextualized in the geographical realityof the student.
