Item type:Publication, Protocolo de familia: las empresas familiares(Hospitalidad ESDAI, 2016) ;Murguía Gutiérrez, María IsabelCampus Ciudad de MéxicoThe Familiar Protocol is a mechanism of agreements and codes of conduct which seeks to respond to the problems that may arise when implementing ownership, succession and government of a family business; situations that may affect the professional, economic, or even personal relations between family and company. It is, therefore, an individualized approach of action that seeks to harmonize business and family issues, understood as a whole. The origin of this contractual figure can be found primarily in Anglo-Saxon tradition countries, where it is considered as an indicator of good governance of family businesses, which has been extended to the rest of the countries of the European Community and the world. The need to develop a family protocol stems from the complexity of the Family Business, because of the personal and professional elements that come together in the company. Definitely, it's an instrument of articulated reflection through agreements that ensure the continuity of family companies in an ever-changing economic, globalised and competitive environment, providing them with greater professionalization. In particular, is the agreement that will help the family to become an Entrepreneur Family, joined by a common future.6 38
