Item type:Publication, La pandemia del relativismo : un obstáculo para la educación moral y científica(Universidad Panamericana, Escuela de Pedagogía, 2023) ;Soria Bravo, CarolinaUniversidad Panamericana. Campus Ciudad de México. Escuela de PedagogíaThe present age is characterized, as Bauman has opined, by the «liquidity» of human life. The structures that were previously solid are today changing, be it the identity of the subject, their sexuality, their relationships. Everything is liquid, moldable, adaptable. If something is feared at this time, it is the stable or permanent. Consequently, values have also been affected because they depend on each person’s point of view, preferences, and tastes, that is, they are totally relative. This liquidity in all aspects generates uncertainty, because given the excessive information to which we are exposed, the human being ultimately does not have objective references to define what is good, valuable, preferable, since it seems that everything depends on the circumstance and the subject preferences. Ethics becomes obsolete because if everyone has an equally valid point of view, it is impossible to speak of a hierarchy of values. The search for the truth is also impossible because any possibility of reaching it is denied. It seems that education is impossible in a relativistic society. So how is it possible to teach in an age where truth and morality are questioned and even denied?24 136 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Ética del cuidado y educación del caracter : una mirada desde la mujer(Universidad Panamericana, Escuela de Pedagogía, 2023) ;Beltramo, CarlosUniversidad Panamericana. Campus Ciudad de México. Escuela de PedagogíaThe ethics of care is Carol Gilligan proposal after noticing the gender bias contained in the table of moral development proposed by Lawrence Kohlberg. Gilligan states that, while men tend to solve moral dilemmas in a rationalistic way, appealing to the idea of justice, women also use attachment and empathy. For this reason, she proposes to add in the moral judgment everything that women grasp better to correct Kohlberg’s system’s bias. Nel Noddings, from another approach, turns the ethics of care into a pedagogical proposal in dialogue with the character education movement. Her model contemplates four essential components: modeling, dialogue, practice, and confirmation. Noddings sees that, overcoming gender bias implies that moral judgment should not be reduced to instrumental rationality but proposes to avoid falling into emotivism. Hence, her proposal appeals to a proper education of the heart, seeking a balance between heart and head. In this sense, both thinkers launch a positive challenge to the actual currents of character education, just at a time when this educational field is expanding its fundamental reflections, while seeking to reflect all aspects of the human person.36 105 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Escuela de PedagogíaReflection on issues related to moral education, not only in its theoretical conception, but in its implementation within the classroom, is essential for the right exercise of the teaching profession. For this reason, the contributions made by Aristotle and John Stuart Mill to moral education are analyzed to build a pedagogical reflection that facilitates the understanding of the moral development of students in the current educational context. From a philosophical perspective, an analytical method is used based on the study of the postulates of the ethics of virtue and utilitarianism; specifically on issues related to the moral development of subjects, happiness, or the importance of reasoning in the face of moral conflicts to understand what contributions can be applied to current education. The main conclusions drawn after the study are the importance of critically reflecting in schools on concepts such as prudence, virtue, happiness, or citizenship; as well as the richness that the incorporation of con-cepts such as virtue brings to the educational debate. In addition, developing virtues in the student body will allow them to know the good, wish it and practice it.34 189 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, La vida digna, acotada por la ética(Universidad Panamericana, Escuela de Pedagogía, 2018-11-28) ;López de Llergo, Ana TeresaUniversidad Panamericana. Campus Ciudad de México. Escuela de PedagogíaFacing incisive approaches it is natural that people —meeting with others or individually— want to say their point of view. Within democratic frames this is even emphasized. But, for not going achievement an educational basis explanation is necessary to answer every question at the highest level of the human condition. One of these topics is «worth lifetime». Up to now, this term is being addressed to human being, but in the future, it could as well be transferred to others like, pets, considering the vital closeness. Nevertheless, this transference is inappropriate for the great difference between human being and other creatures. «Dignity» belongs only to human being because of to human being because of his spiritual life. Therefore, in this work the starting point is, in this work the starting point is who and how human creature is, and how who and how human creature is, and how ethic his life can be. Now, we are in condition to make a definition of worth lifetime and the natural law and virtues relationship.5 1552 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, La ciencia al servicio de la mesa.(Hospitalidad ESDAI, 2011)Campus Ciudad de MéxicoFood is a basic human necessity, this is why innocuousness is an important factor when satisfying hunger. In public health this aspect is basic. Prevention and control of ailments induced by pathogen microorganisms in food are a challenge for all those involved in its preparation and production. If you take into account that the current regulation (NOM-251-SSA-2009) proposes to implement the HACCP system as part of the necessary measures to achieve innocuous food, the use of quick microbiological methods offers a viable, reliable and short term possibility for the corporation; it is also profitable because the initial investment can be rapidly recovered due to the fact that process deviations may be quickly corrected with the certainty that the food being processed is within the established microbiological control parameters.8 157 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Despertar el amor a la vida en tiempos de oscuridad.(Hospitalidad ESDAI, 2010) ;Burggraf, JuttaCampus Ciudad de MéxicoThis article is about giving the first guidelines for answering everyday more urgent questions: How do you defend life effectively? How to help people who, in extreme situations, have chosen something which ended in tragedy: An abortion or euthanasia. It highlights some common aspects which must be one way or another, developed by every "life defender". A person willing to work for life, needs, first of all, a strong and free heart; he must daily become more independent of the judgments of others. At the same time, he must recognize that we are all deeply and personally involved in the events of our world. If we accept this fact, we will be able to see, with cleaner eyes, apart from all errors, that there is much goodness and beauty in others. We are called to endeavor in the difficult art of going in-depth with others, to not remain in what is said, but to arrive to what is meant. In a moment of discouragement, failure or distress, it is terribly important to find someone who understands, who doesn't fight, doesn't coldly classify but who is capable of sharing the - often contradictory - feelings, found in the human heart. If we want someone to, really, detach himself from error, ugliness or evil, and open himself to new knowledge, one must enter into a friendly relationship with him. Advice is only accepted when there is trust. One follows a friend and nobody else. In an atmosphere of trust and kindness, one should appeal to the other's noblest reasons so that he may, by himself, want to do good or repent of evil. He can and must decide by himself to leave the hole into which he has fallen. The proximity of a friend makes this possible. If a person gets used to discovering the goodness in the hearts of all men, he lays the foundation for the awakening of a new life in one who has behaved badly; it will even broaden his own life. The honest treatment of others will make his vitality grow. More ideas will occur, more values will shimmer. He will, above all, be more capable of love, better suited to guide.32 112 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Parámetro ético de las decisiones(Hospitalidad ESDAI, 2003) ;Ruíz Mendoza, RocíoCampus Ciudad de MéxicoThis article will try to focus these reflections about: a) The influence of taking of decisions on the basis of this culture which is characterized as post-modern precisely for its indefinition. b) If the taking of decisions, in itself, is or not naturally affected by the ethical parameter. c) If the ethical parameter should affect the decisions of private sphere or if the public sphere is also the correct place, even in the medium of post modernity. In few words we have to ask ourselves if it is the same to decide today rather than yesterday and if the parameters that are dictated by the present civilization for the taking of decisions are or are not justified. We must situate the taking of decisions in the postmodern context and attend to its repercussions; on the one hand in front of society with all its importance and social responsibility; and on the other hand as a way of constructing its own existential register, that is to say my individual definition as a person, as, in the words of the poet, "the architect, which I am, of my own destinity".1 61
