Item type:Publication, Ethical and regulatory challenges of Generative AI in education: a systematic reviewIntroduction: Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is transforming education by enabling personalized learning and more efficient teaching practices. However, it raises critical ethical concerns, including data privacy, algorithmic bias, and educational inequality, requiring comprehensive regulatory frameworks and pedagogical strategies. Methods: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted, analyzing 53 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2024. The search was performed in Scopus and Web of Science using defined inclusion criteria focused on GenAI applications in education. Data were synthesized thematically and supported by theoretical frameworks from ethics, regulation, and learning sciences. Results: The findings reveal that while GenAI enhances personalized feedback, instructional automation, and learning accessibility, it simultaneously introduces risks such as loss of cognitive autonomy, institutional misuse of student data, and lack of regulatory oversight. Case studies from Stanford and the University of Toronto illustrate both opportunities and limitations of GenAI adoption in higher education. Discussion: GenAI can benefit education if implemented within ethical, legal, and pedagogical boundaries. The study highlights the urgency of designing inclusive regulatory frameworks, strengthening digital literacy, and integrating GenAI tools with constructivist and self-determined learning models. Ambos coinciden en la importancia que le dan a la causa formal; el primero porque explica los cambios en la sociedad el segundo porque la realidad se explica a través de ella. Item type:Publication, Digital Media and Human Rights: Challenges and Opportunities in the Connected SocietyIntroducción: La naturaleza humana otorga derechos inalienables a los individuos, esenciales para desempeñar su función en el mundo y conocer sus obligaciones hacia sí mismos y hacia los demás. Estos derechos deben ser respetados por individuos y sociedades para mantener un equilibrio en las interacciones sociales. Objetivos: Mostrar cómo el uso actual de las redes sociales va en contra de los Derechos Humanos debido a que, a través de los algoritmos, se manipula para la toma de decisiones en diferentes ámbitos. Metodología: Este estudio utiliza un enfoque cualitativo, basado en la revisión de literatura y análisis de estudios previos sobre el impacto de la tecnología y los medios digitales en los Derechos Humanos. Se analizaron fuentes académicas, informes sobre el uso de algoritmos y el efecto de las redes sociales en la comunicación interpersonal. Resultados y Discusión: Los hallazgos sugieren que la proliferación de tecnologías y plataformas digitales ha disminuido la comunicación verbal y debilitado las relaciones personales. Además, el uso de algoritmos para personalizar el contenido compromete la libertad de los usuarios, quienes no son conscientes de cómo se manipulan sus interacciones en línea. Conclusiones: Los medios digitales tienen un impacto significativo en los Derechos Humanos, particularmente en la libertad individual y la calidad de las relaciones personales. Item type:Publication, Literature Mapping on the Ethical Regulation of OLLMs in Higher Education: Transparency, Privacy, and FairnessOpen Large Language Models (OLLMs) has sparked a growing debate about their ethical and legal implications, particularly in the context of higher education institutions. This study, based on a literature mapping, explores the evolution of OLLMs regulation and governance in academia, highlighting challenges related to transparency, privacy, and fairness. The central objective of this analysis is to identify the main trends in the literature that address the ethical regulation of OLLMs in education, with emphasis on the evolution of regulatory frameworks and proposed strategies for effective governance. Through the examination of 51 indexed academic articles, a thematic classification was carried out based on three key research questions, which made it possible to identify patterns in the academic discussion and visualize the findings through graphical representations. The results suggest that the ethical governance of OLLMs is a determining factor in their responsible implementation. The literature emphasizes the need to strengthen regulations around algorithmic transparency, student data protection, and equity in access to these technologies. In addition, the importance of interdisciplinary approaches that integrate perspectives from law, ethics, and technology for the development of inclusive and sustainable policies has been found. ©The authors ©Springer.
