La economía creativa, una fuente creciente de desarrollo

En este mundo tan cambiante y complejo que nos está tocando vivir, los problemas a enfrentar como sociedad se convierten en retos difíciles, que nos llevan plantear soluciones de una forma diferente, con recursos diferentes respecto a lo que hasta ahora se ha hecho; la búsqueda de soluciones con creatividad a través de nuevas ideas permite entre otras cosas el aprovechamiento de recursos intangibles hacia un desarrollo, traducido en un mejor nivel de vida. "[...] La complejidad, la imprevisibilidad y el ritmo de los acontecimientos en nuestro mundo, así como la dureza del estrés ambiental a escala mundial, se están disparando. Si nuestras sociedades quieren gestionar sus recursos y mejorar su bienestar, necesitarán de mayor ingenio, es decir, más ideas para solucionar sus problemas" (Homer-Dixon, 2012). La actividad económica y social en los países se ha visto modificada de tal forma que la mayor parte de las industrias tradicionales están incorporando los valores del diseño y la creatividad a sus productos para diferenciarse de los productos de la competencia, de forma que los aspectos intangibles, derivados del pensamiento creativo, se han convertido en elementos fundamentales para el ofrecimiento de bienes y servicios. La cultura como parte fundamental de los intangibles de una sociedad, se está volviendo en una más, dentro de la actividad económica generada por un país, sujeta a las reglas del mercado, en lo que se ha denominado el sector de las industrias creativas que tienen como objetivo alcanzar un desarrollo.

In this changing and complex world in where we happened to live in, the problems we deal with as a society become difficult challenges, which lead us to propose solutions in a different way, with different resources with regard to what until now has been done; the search for solutions with creativity through new ideas allows -among other things- the exploitation of intangible resources towards a development, which results in a better standard of living. "[...] The complexity, unpredictability and the pace of events in our world, as well as the hardness of global environmental stress, are shooting up. If our societies desire to manage their resources and improve their well-being, they will need more ingenuity, that is, more ideas to solve their problems" (Homer-Dixon, 2012). The economic and social activity in the countries has been modified so that most of the traditional industries are incorporating the values of design and creativity to its products to differentiate themselves from the competition products, in such a way that the intangible aspects of creative thinking, have become fundamental elements for the provision of goods and services. Culture as a fundamental part of intangible assets of a company, is becoming in one more of those elements, within the economic activity generated by a country, subject to the rules of the market, in what has been called the field of creative industries that are aimed at achieving their development.
