Abstract
Según Byung-Chul Han el homo digitalis es narcisista y carece de carácter, de una identidad estable. Vive “de un presente a otro” y confunde la realidad y a los otros consigo mismo. El sujeto actual lo iguala todo porque todo lo remite a sí mismo y nada distinto le hace frente. Este hombre, en apariencia libre, busca realizarse en y solo en el trabajo. Dispone de su “tiempoyo” que puede acelerar indefinidamente hasta que por fin se agota y se deprime ante su autoexigencia. El homo digitalis habría supuesto el final de la alteridad y la temporalidad en el radical análisis de Han. Sin embargo, según él hay una salida para desacelerar el tiempo: la búsqueda del “tiempo del otro”, un tiempo que no se explota sino que se entrega a otro, en la escucha y el compromiso. ©2018, Universidad Panamericana, Facultad de Derecho.
According to Byung-Chul Han, the homo digitalis is narcissist, lacks character and a stable identity. The current individual lives from “a present to another” and cannot differ reality and the others from himself. This homo digitalis equalizes everything because everything is related with him or her. This human being, free in appearance, wants to be fulfilled as a person only by means of working. His “I-time” can be accelerated without end and because of this he gets exhausted and depressed by its own “self-exigence”. The homo digitalis has determined the end of alterity and temporality in the radical reflections of Han. However, according to him, there is a way out to decelerate time which is the search of the “time of the other”, a time that cannot be exploited but given to the other: in earing and commitment. ©2018, Universidad Panamericana, Facultad de Derecho.
