    The aim of this article is to determine the socioeconomic level (SEL) with disaggregation of the Basic Statistical Area (BSA) in the Mexican Republic. The methodology used is the one established by the Mexican Association of Market Research Agencies (AMAI) along with the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). The Clustering of the BSAs was carried out according to variables contained in the Population and Housing Census of 2010, through Gaussian mixture models, learning neural networks and finally, by defining the labels corresponding to each SEL. We found the existence of a representative SEL for each BSA. In addition, the definition of each socioeconomic level shows good results with an average of 90.86% of correctly labeled elements.

The RC4 cryptographic algorithm is the most extensively studied stream cipher of the past two decades. This extensive research has resulted in numerous publications, many of which identify various vulnerabilities. Although these vulnerabilities do not preclude the correct use of the algorithm, they complicate its practical implementation. In this paper, we present a novel weakness in the RC4 cipher. Our findings indicate that, for input keys exhibiting certain patterns, the parity of the values in the output permutation of the KSA can be determined with high probability from the parity of its position in the output permutation. Furthermore, the use of keys with these specific patterns leads to noticeable distortions in several bytes of the RC4 output.

This paper proposes two new methods of key space partitioning for the cryptanalysis of block ciphers. The first one is called combined methodology of key space partition (CoMeKSPar), which allows us to simultaneously set some of the first and last consecutive bits of the key. In this way, the search is performed using the remaining middle bits. CoMeKSPar is a combination of two methods already proposed in the scientific literature, the Borges, Borges, Monier (BBM) and the Tito, Borges, Borges (TBB). The second method is called the general algorithm of key space reduction (GAKSRed), which makes it possible to perform a genetic algorithm search in the space formed by the unknown bits of the key, regardless of their distribution in the binary block. Furthermore, a method of attacking block ciphers is presented for the case where some key bits are known; the basic idea is to deduce some of the remaining bits of the block. An advantage of these methods is that they allow parallel computing, which allows simultaneous searches in different sub-blocks of key bits, thereby increasing the probability of success. The experiments are performed with the KLEIN (Small) lightweight block cipher using the genetic algorithm.

Conventional electronic voting systems use a centralized scheme. A central administration of these systems manages the entire voting process and has partial or total control over the database and the system itself. This creates some problems, accidental or intentional, such as possible manipulation of the database and double voting. Many of these problems have been solved thanks to permissionless blockchain technologies in new voting systems; however, the classic consensus method of such blockchains requires specific computing power during each voting operation. This has a significant impact on power consumption, compromises the efficiency and increases the system latency. However, using a permissioned blockchain improves efficiency and reduces system energy consumption, mainly due to the elimination of the typical consensus protocols used by public blockchains. The use of smart contracts provides a secure mechanism to guarantee the accuracy of the voting result and make the counting procedure public and protected against fraudulent actions, and contributes to preserving the anonymity of the votes. Its adoption in electronic voting systems can help mitigate part of these problems. Therefore, this paper proposes a system that ensures high reliability by applying enterprise blockchain technology to electronic voting, securing the secret ballot. In addition, a flexible network configuration is presented, discussing how the solution addresses some of the security and reliability issues commonly faced by electronic voting system solutions.

This study aims to analyze the influence of foreign direct investment, tourism, exports, and imports on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in the High-Income State, Upper-Middle Income, and Lower-Middle-Middle Income in Asia during the period of 2010 to 2019. This study uses the Poisson Pseudo-Maximum Likelihood (PPML) method. The results of this study indicate that Environmental Kuznets Curve Hypothesis (EKC) is valid in the country of High Income and Upper-Middle Income. In addition, there is a non-linear relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI), tourism, Export, and imports on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The interaction variables, which are a foreign direct investment with tourism and foreign direct investment with Export. Each of them is reducing carbon dioxide emissions only in high-income countries. Meanwhile, the interaction variables between foreign direct investment and imports reduce carbon dioxide emissions in high-income countries. However, it increases the carbon dioxide emissions in the upper-middle-income country

    Secuenciación de trabajos en una línea de SMT con enfoque multiobjetivo
    (Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, 2023) ;
    A partir de 1850, los sistemas productivos han evolucionado de forma muy rápida, especialmente a partir del último tercio del siglo xx, debido a la globalización y a la competencia empresarial, regida por la capacidad de los países para producir de manera más eficiente que los demás. De esta manera, estos países tienen dominio, a nivel mundial, de los ámbitos industrial y tecnológico; las naciones más desarrolladas son, por consecuencia, los Estados más ricos, en su mayoría producto de sus estrategias de producción. Esta situación es efecto, precisamente, de dicha evolución que incluye la administración de los sistemas, los procesos y la tecnología. En este sentido, cuando inició la revolución industrial, el esfuerzo del empresario se enfocó en lograr producir lo máximo posible, aun a costa de la seguridad de su personal. Sin embargo, esta forma de proceder tuvo que mejorar al avanzar el tiempo y desarrollar una mejor experiencia en actividades productivas, logrando la evolución e identificar así diferentes medios para lograr la administración de operaciones, a finales del siglo xix y principios del XX. La administración de operaciones tiene como razón de ser, la utilización de técnicas y metodologías que logren la coordinación de las áreas funcionales de la empresa con el área de producción. En esta administración se agrupan técnicas de mejora continua, control de producción, cuidado de la planta y la maquinaria, la logística de la empresa, así como la optimización de procesos, sin importar que sea empresa de bienes o servicios.

    Con esta obra continúa la labor promovida por la Red de Desarrollo Económico del IPN y la Escuela de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales de la Universidad Panamericana, campus Guadalajara, para generar la colección ¿Estudios Inter y Transdisciplinarios sobre Economía, Competitividad y Gestión de las Organizaciones". Los temas que se abordan en esta obra brindan significado a información de diversa índole: importantes reflexiones en torno a la gestión de organizaciones, a su competitividad y al crecimiento de las economías, así como la mejora de las sociedades del conocimiento en el siglo XXI. Cada capítulo es una directriz que abre horizontes hacia la creación de valor. Mientras mejor se sistematice la informacio¿n requerida como insumo en la generacio¿n de un servicio, cuanto mejores sean los ana¿lisis de la informacio¿n disponible, ma¿s progresara¿ la toma de decisiones asociada al servicio y su potencial innovacio¿n. En la medida que se siga la pauta de incorporar informacio¿n estructurada y, en consecuencia, conocimiento en la produccio¿n de bienes y en la generacio¿n de servicios, se tendra¿, a su vez, la medida de la construccio¿n de una economi¿a del conocimiento.

PassPoint is a graphical authentication technique that is based on the selection of five points in an image. A detected vulnerability lies in the possible existence of a pattern in the points that make up the password. The objective of this work is to detect nonrandom graphical passwords in the PassPoint scenario. A spatial randomness test based on the average of Delaunay triangles’ perimeter is proposed, given the ineffectiveness of the classic tests in this scenario, which only consists of five points. A state-of-the-art of various applications of Voronoi polygons and Delaunay triangulations are presented to detect clustered and regular patterns. The distributions of the averages of the triangles’ perimeters in the PassPoint scenario for various sizes of images are disclosed, which were unknown. The test’s decision criterion was constructed from one of the best distributions to which the data were adjusted. Type I and type II errors were estimated, and it was concluded that the proposed test could detect clustered and regular graphical passwords in PassPoint, therefore being more effective in detecting clustering than regularity.
