    El impacto cultural en los asistentes a un mega evento deportivo: el caso de Brasil 2014

    Over the years, mega sporting events have gained great relevance worldwide. In this sense, the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, seen as such, brought together thousands of people from all over the world. This space represented the attendees an occasion for them to generate social interactions, which could be culturally enriching. This led to investigating in the first place: what is culture, what impact does it have, and what is the perception of it? This concept defined from different aspects artistic, anthropological, historical, social, just to mention a few, also had to be accompanied by the ways in which the subjects appropriate it, hence the real question arises: Is there any impact on the culture of the attendant to a mega sporting event with the participation of international athletes? That is why in the case of the present work it was observed within these processes that mega sporting events are constituted in elements of culture since as defined by Diaz Aguado (1999, p. 116). “Enculturation unifies people by providing common experiences”. As well as moving from multiculturalism to transculturality. From field research, some main cultural elements were identified as disrupted: traditions and rituals, sports, language and architecture among others.

    Hace más de 15 años dio inicio el proyecto de publicación de la revista semestral Hospitalidad ESDAI con el propósito de abrir un espacio para la discusión de los problemas y retos que enfrenta la industria hospitalaria y de los servicios, con un enfoque de interdisciplinariedad. La Escuela de Administración de Instituciones (ESDAI), de la Universidad Panamericana, institución pionera en el ramo, tiene que establecer pautas para la comprensión del fenómeno hospitalario, que no se limita a un intercambio económico sino que trasciende al ámbito del encuentro humano.

    La búsqueda de la verdad y la justicia se refleja en las sociedades en diferentes espacios y con diferentes enfoques. La encíclica Caritas in Veritate de Benedicto XVI expresa con gran claridad la postura de la Doctrina Social Cristiana frente a las desigualdades sociales que el desarrollo trae consigo. Es un llamado a cristianos y a los que no lo son a comprometerse con los más necesitados, y resalta el papel que juega el respeto de los derechos humanos para combatir las injusticias. Por otro lado, están los esfuerzos que desde el ámbito político han hecho las mujeres para lograr una participación equitativa en distintos niveles de gobierno. Esto se reflejó en una participación muy significativa de aspirantes a puestos públicos en el proceso electoral del primero de julio de 2018 en México.

    Los servicios de salud son un indicador de gran relevancia en el crecimiento y desarrollo de un país. De ahí la importancia de optimizar los recursos que se asignan en este sector. Asimismo, las acciones hospitalarias tienen en este sector un papel de primer orden. Dichas acciones son brindadas a personas que, en muchos casos, se encuentran en un estado de gran vulnerabilidad. Por ello, requieren de atención especial, tanto ellos como sus familias.

    Garantizar una dieta adecuada a través de un servicio de calidad tiene en el proceso de planeación del menú una herramienta fundamental. Los establecimientos de alimentos garantizan la inocuidad, el aporte nutrimental y el sabor y aspecto de los platillos, entre otras cosas, a través del seguimiento de actividades que inician con la elección de los ingredientes, y culminan cuando el plato llega a la mesa de los comensales.

    Al hablar de las actividades que conforman a la hospitalidad es imposible no recurrir a las disciplinas como la antropología y la sociología. Esto porque la hospitalidad no sólo surge del afán del individuo de desplazarse fuera de su lugar de origen sino de la consciencia del hombre acerca de su vulnerabilidad y la necesidad del otro para sobrevivir. Es esta alteridad la que posibilita la apertura, así como la atención y el cuidado de los demás, que empiezan por proveer de comida y cobijo al otro, pero que adquieren un sentido humano al responder a esa añoranza del viajero por la familia y el hogar.

    El lenguaje de la alimentación y su transición en Colombia

    Food is one of the fundamental factors for the conservation of human life, and the transformation of the product to bring it to the table is a complex study that requires a special analysis. The cuisine is a science that has two contexts mainly, the first is the process of selecting ingredients, its suitable handling from the enlistment of the raw material, through the choice of the proper technique and cooking time, and ending with the installation of the dish that will be into the hands of the diner. The second are the feelings aroused in the consumer by the product, to achieve the exaltation of senses that the dish --in its spacious symphonies of color and flavor-- may be able to communicate through visual and gustatory aspects. But even beyond than understanding at a general level what the cuisi- ne is, it is important to know the conformation, some historical background and evolution of the Colombian cuisine.

    Financiamiento alternativo: crowdfunding para pequeños y medianos proyectos empresariales e iniciativas sociales

    Crowdfunding is a method by which individuals, non-profit organizations and businesses get the required resources to carry out initiatives that are intended to cover strictly personal needs, develop social or business projects. This is achieved through internet platforms specialized in collective financing that are responsible for collecting the economic contributions of a group of people willing to collaborate to attain some goal or who are interested in loan or invest their money. This paper is intended to provide an overview of crowdfunding, particularly about donation and reward based models, which, according to international experience, are useful tools to finance mainly small and medium-sized projects.
